Kybella near Green Bay, WI
Kybella Treatment
Kybella is an FDA-approved injectable treatment designed to reduce fullness under the chin, often referred to as submental fat or a "double chin." Unlike surgical options like liposuction, Kybella works by breaking down fat cells beneath the skin, and once those cells are gone, they can't come back or store fat again.
Treatment is done as a series of 3 sessions, spaced about a month apart, so the area can heal and results can build gradually. Most patients see visible improvement in the contour of their jawline and neck over the course of their treatment plan.

How does Kybella work? Kybella contains a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid, a substance the body naturally uses to break down and absorb dietary fat. When injected into the treatment area, it destroys fat cells under the chin, which are then processed and eliminated by the body.
How many treatments will I need? We recommend a series of 3 sessions, spaced about a month apart, to reach your desired result. Depending on the amount of fullness being treated and how your body responds, some patients may want an additional session beyond the initial series.
Is there downtime? Some swelling, tenderness, or bruising in the treated area is common for a few days after treatment. Most patients return to normal activities right away, though we recommend planning around any events if swelling would be noticeable.
When will I see results? Because Kybella works gradually as the body clears treated fat cells, most patients start noticing changes several weeks after a session, with fuller results appearing as treatment continues.
Is Kybella permanent? Yes. Once a fat cell is destroyed, it can't store or accumulate fat again. That said, Kybella doesn't prevent new weight gain in other areas or account for future changes to your body over time.
Am I a good candidate for Kybella? Kybella is best suited for patients with mild to moderate fullness under the chin who want to avoid surgery. A consultation with our team is the best way to find out if it's the right fit for your goals.
